Saddle up and explore!
One of the best things about staying at Belle Vue Farm is that you don't need to get in the car to start exploring. The open New Forest is just beyond the farm, with footpaths and cycling routes leading straight from the property.
We've put together a few of our favourite walks and bike rides, from an easy trip to the pub to longer routes through the Forest. Complimentary mountain bikes and helmets are available for guests, and you're welcome to bring your own bikes too and keep them safely stored when not in use. We even have an e-bike charging point.
Below is just a few of our favourites. We also have maps and guides in the stables for you to borrow as you wish.
Walk/ Cycle to High Corner Inn
2.7 miles
A beautiful walk or ride to a fantastic pub.
+ Pub is open early for breakfast, lunch & dinner
+ Virtually no road work
- Can get very wet and boggy in Winter
- Some paths are very sandy
Walk/ Cycle to Royal Oak, Fritham
4.5 miles
Stunning scenes en-route to a great walkers pub.
+ Open for lunches - check hours before leaving
+ Serves award winning ploughmans
+ Good gravel cycle route all the way
- Seating mostly outdoors, but plenty undercover
Pub Crawl from the High Corner Inn back to Belle Vue Farm
7 miles
Passing The Red Shoot, Hockeys, The Royal Oak & The Foresters
+ Much of this route is on roads and downhill!
+ Covers lots of ground
- Just a couple of inclines at the end!
